What is minimum Processing time for a Canadian Student VISA under SPP category?

I have applied for Student VISA on 9th Dec 2010

i want to know what is the minimum and max time for processing STUDENT VISA under SPP category.

College starts on JAN 4th 2010.

Thanks for your inquiry (Please note that I am not an immigration officer).

According to Canada citizenship and immigration ?it is strongly recommended that all applicants for The Canadian Student Partners Program study permits submit their application by 01 August for September entry and by 01 December for January entry.

Students should further note that applications submitted after 20 August and 20 December for the respective entries will not normally be processed in time for the start of class and will likely be refused.?

In General and according to Canada citizenship and immigration student visa applicants in India can usually expect an Initial Response in 15 working days (3 weeks) from the date of application.

SPP Canadian Visa Processing Time

I am Satenterjot from punjab.

I will apply for a Canadian student visa under the spp program on the 5th of May 2011, and my classes will start on the 7th of Sep 2011.

So I want to know, what is the minimum processing time for a Canadian student visa under the spp category?

Thanks for your inquiry (please note that I am not an immigration officer).

According to Canada citizenship and immigration ? "It is strongly recommended that you submit your application by 01 August for September entry and by 01 December for January entry. Applications for a Study Permit received after August 15 for programs beginning in September or after December 15 for the ones beginning in January will not normally be processed in time for the start of class and will likely be refused."

So if you plan to submit your application on May 5, 2011 for the Semester of September 2011 then there is enough time for your visa to be processed before the school year starts.
