Requirements for spouse visa
by: Sharon - Expats Guide

Dear Marrium Shah

Thanks for your inquiry (please note that I am not an immigration officer).

Each country has it's own requirements for visa. However you did not mention to which country you would like to apply for a student and spouse visa

Me and my husband are willing to apply for Canada.

My husband as student and me as his spouse so I wanted to know about requirements for a spouse visa.

I'd appreciate if you could help.

Requirements for a spouse visa to Canada
by: Sharon - Expats Guide

Hi Again

Thanks,(Please note that I am not an immigration officer).

As a spouse of a Canadian student visa holder you may accompany your husband to Canada. However you will have to apply for a visa (visitor, work or study).

You can download the application kit directly from the website of CIC Canada. In each guide you will find information about tests, documents and medical checkups including links for more information about specific countries.

As regards to processing time it depends on the country you are from and on the type of visa you have requested. You can find this information in here.

For Pakistan (according to the statistics published on April 27, 2011) ? it takes 10 weeks for a study permit 11 months for a work permit , and 56 days for a visitor visa

Best of Luck
Sharon
