US Taxation of Foreign Nationals and Expats in the USA

by Andy Powers
(NY)

US Taxation of foreign nationals can be overwhelming.

Non US persons working in the US are subject to complex tax treaty provisions and other US special rules regarding reportable income and deductions depending on whether you are considered a "resident alien" or "non resident alien" for US tax purposes.

These rules affect general workers but are especially ccmplex for foreign nationals owning businesses in the US. Their tax situation is significantly impacted by their home country filing status and the time they spend in the U.S.

Although too much to list here, there is information available on the Tax Power website at www.tax-power.com.

Tax Power information is available also by seaching "Tax Power" using any major search engine. Feel free to ask questions if you need help as I have specialized in US international taxation for over 35 years.

Warm wishes,
Andy Powers
