Student Visa to Canada Refused

Hi Sharon

I had applied for a student visa to Canada (BC) through an agency.

2 days ago I got a visa refusal from Canadian High Commission in India mentioning that "a document lack credibility which diminished my overall credibility of application".

It was really shocking for me as I had produced genuine documents.

Kindly tell me what can I do now? How can I know which document has created issue in my case? Is it possible to re-apply??

Proposed course of study is - RN preparation program at OMNI College, BC. 6 of the students that applied for the same course along with me got visa.

Thanks for your inquiry.

First let me emphasize that I am not an immigration officer.

According to the website of the Canadian High Commission in India

"Written reasons for the refusal are given to unsuccessful Study Permit applicants. Once you are in possession of the written reasons, there are limited avenues for appeal. There is no formal appeal mechanism for refused Study Permit applications.

The Visa Section is not able to assist with the refund of school fees.

If your circumstances have changed appreciably and you believe that it would result in a different decision, you may wish to reapply. If, however, there is no change in your situation, then it is unlikely that your application would result in the issuance of a Study Permit."

However, you mentioned that you have applied for a Canadian student visa through an agency. Most probably it is not the first case of visa refusal that the agency has seen.

I would therefore recommend that you contact the agency and check if they can find out for you which of the documents that you submitted have lacked credibility
