I am from India and I am studying in Australia at present time.

If I apply for a student visa to Canada, can I get a spouse visa?

I am married and have a kid of one year old. Can they come with me to Canada?

Hi Aarti

Thanks for your inquiry (Please note ? I am not an immigration officer)

Before you apply for a study permit to Canada you must be accepted as a student by a Canadian University.

As for your spouse and child? According to Canada Citizenship and Immigration If you wish your spouse and / or child to accompany you to Canada or to join you at a later date, you must provide proof that you will be able to support them.

Such evidence may include:

Proof of a Canadian bank account in your name if money has been transferred to Canada

Your bank statements for the past four months.

A bank draft in convertible currency.

Proof of payment of tuition and residence fees

In addition Your dependants will be required to demonstrate to a visa officer that they have sufficient ties to India to ensure their departure from Canada.
