Sponsring my Family to Come to Canada
by Vyomesh Gandhi
I became permanent resident of Canada on 27th Sept, 2007, but then stayed in India for extended period as economic condition was stiff. Meanwhile I earned experience working with US and Canadian companies from India and additional knowledge to make myself better employable as I did my PMP (Project Management Professional). Now I am returning to Canada on travel document in Sept, 2010 as I have to stay for two years to fulfill my PR eligibility and being more confident to serve in Canada. With my initial file application in 2006, I have applied for my wife and children and completed their medical examination as they were to accompany with me. But on last minute I decided not to take my family in tuff condition and so did not pay visa fee as I went alone. Since their medical examination validity period of 12 months has expired I want to reexamine them for medical fitness before I apply for their visas. I understand it takes 12-18 months to process sponsorship application in Canada and I cannot leave my family alone in India this long as my kids are just six and ten years of age. I want to take my family with me in Sept, 2010 let me know how to proceed in this application and whether you can provide help in this matter. Vyomesh Gandhi
