Retire in Belize

My husband and I are looking to retire in a little over a year. I have researched Belize, Corozal in particular for a possible place to live.

I want to connect with Expats that have moved over there.

My biggest concern I think is the crime that I see on the Belize news.

We have 2 children ages 8 and 10 that we adopted. We live in Texas by the way.

Can you help me connect with some Expats that live over there, I am especially interested in those that moved to Corozal.

Researching the country you are considering moving to and gathering as much information as you can is the most important thing to do.

This book was written by Lan Sluder who has been living in Belize for a long time. Lan offers in his book insight into Belize's history, culture and all the essentials - visas, banking, healthcare, transportation, etc'.

Talking with other expats who are living in Belize is a great idea. You can find them by searching the web for expats Belize blogs, and by joining yahoo groups which are dedicated to expats in Belize.
