Hi Sharon!

I applied for Immigration to Canada under the Skilled Worker Program. I included my spouse in the application.

Does he have to submit the same requirements as me?

The problem is, he has difficulty requesting a certificate from his previous employers. However, he can provide a certificate from his current employer,where he has worked for 6 years now. Will this be sufficient?

Dear D

Thanks for your inquiry (please note that I am not an immigration officer).

You are the principle applicant and therefore you are the one that will need to reach the pass mark of 67 points that enables you to apply under the skilled workers visa.

Your spouse is considered the dependant in your application, and therefore will not need to submit the same requirements.

He will need to provide police clearance and medical tests.
