Thanks for your inquiry (please note that I am not an immigration officer).

Canada does not have a special category for people who would like to retire in Canada.

So in order to retire in Canada you will need to apply for a permanent resident.

There are several categories under the Canadian permanent resident class. Most of them require that you work in Canada.

If you are not planning on working in Canada and if you have a family in Canada that can sponsor you then you can check if you qualify for a permanent resident status under the Canadian family class.

Another option is to check if you qualify for a permanent resident status under the Business class category

I would also like to recommend that you consult with one of the Canadian consulates in the U.S.A

As regards to Receiving US social security & pension while living in Canada, there is an agreement on Social Security between Canada and the United States which came into force on August 1, 1984.
