Police Clearance Question

Hi

I have to answer this question by yes or no .

Can you help me?

The question is

Have you ever been charged, arrested or convicted of any offense or crime?

In fact I have not. But I was a victim of the following case and I wonder if I could get police clearance.

The case was- my wife claimed and reported to the police that I hit her. The police sent the case to the court and turned the case over to the Family Court but I did not sit in front of the judge, I wasn’t arrested, and before the time of the Court my wife went to the police station where she claimed and also went to the Court and dropped the case, but when I took the book to end the case from the court the police asked me to take fingerprints and they pictured me. They told me that this is normal because the case has not been waived by the governing.

Thanks,
Ron
