Police Clearance for Canada Immigration

by Joel T. Cabangon
(Doha Qatar)

Hello

I have worked 5 years in Kuwait and 2 years in Saudi and I am presently working in Qatar.

I would like to immigrate to Canada.

I have a question regarding the police certificate - Do I need to request a police clearance from all the countries where I worked or only from the present one?

Please I need your feedback
Thank You!
Joel

Police Clearance for Canada Immigration

Dear Joel

Thanks for your inquiry (please note that I am not an immigration officer)

According to Canada Citizenship and Immigration "you should provide a police certificate for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18."

This means that you will have to request a police clearance from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar and probably also from your country of origin.

Please click the following link for more information about how to obtain a police certificate for Canada Immigration.

Best of Luck
Sharon
