Moving to the suburbs of New York

by Valerie
(UK)

My husband might get a job in Wall Street, New York. We have 2 daughters (4 and 8) and I don't want to live in New York.

Can anyone recommend where would be family friendly, good public school and an easy commute for my hubby?

Thanks!

Moving to the suburbs of New York

Dear Valerie

Thanks for your inquiry.

You can start your research by searching the NYC Department of Education. The website has lots of information about the public schools system in NY including population, enrollment, attendance, test scores, and more.

This website will provide you important data about the public school system in NY, and you can look more thoroughly into some schools that might be of interest to you.

After that go to the hop stop website where you can find door-to-door subway and bus directions and check the transportation from the school?s neighborhood to town.

Best of Luck
Sharon
