Moving to Argentina and Searching
for Jobs in Argentina

by Cody
(South Africa)

My wife and I are planning on relocating to Argentina in the near future.

We have two kids 7 & 5, and I am concerned that we may not find appropriate employment fast enough to care for the kids.

Do you have any advice?

Thanks
Cody

Teaching English in Argentina
by: Sharon

Hi Cody

Thanks for your e-mail.

Before moving to Argentina I would strongly suggest that you find out what is the cost of living in Argentina and how much money you would need to earn in order to provide for your family.

Other than that - Would you have to pay for your kid's tuition? Will you be entitled for healthcare in Argentina or would you have to purchase your own international health insurance - These two things add up and are quite expensive.

As regards to employment opportunities - You can search for international companies who are looking to hire English speaking professionals for their offices in Argentina.

But the easiest way might be teaching English in Argentina. There are many language schools in Argentina looking for qualified TEFL tutors.

You don't have to be an English teacher in order to teach English as a second language, but your chances of getting a job will increase if you have a certificate from a respected and internationally recognized TEFL course.
