Minimum processing time for Canadian PR

Hi Sharon,

I am from India and I applied for Canadian PR under skilled worker category in Sept 2010. I know that the maximum time it takes is 12 months.

I want to knwo the minimum time it may take for the confirmation of the status of the application as whether it would be accepted or declined.

Thanks for your inquiry (please note that I am not an immigration officer).

Canada citizenship and immigration publishes visa processing time statistics. However each application is unique and has its own checks and procedures. Some can take longer while other are processed faster. I believe that there is no minimum processing time.

You can check the status of your application at the client application status tool which is an on-line service that allows applicants to view securely the status of their immigration and/or citizenship application.

If the processing time has been longer than the processing time that was published for your country and your visa office has not contacted you, you may wish to contact the visa office that is processing your application by e-mail, letter or fax.
