loan letter for canada spp student visa programe

by Shiv
(India)

Hi Sharon

I have sectioned a loan from the bank through one of the agents but the agent won't give me the original letter. He only give me a photocopy.

Is it acceptable for the Canadian SPP visa application or do I have to submit an original at the time of submitting the documents to the Embassy?

Thanks
Shiv

Dear Shiv

Thanks for your inquiry (please note that I am not an immigration officer)

According to the Canadian SPP student visa checklist you need to show a

"Copy of an Educational Loan from an Indian Chartered Bank equivalent to at least 80% of tuition + living + travel expenses for one academic year (normally, first year's tuition, unless already paid, plus $8000)."

So I guess you will be fine with a photocopy of the loan letter.

Best of Luck
Sharon
