Loan for a Study Permit to Canada

by Sohail Khan
(Pakistan)

Hi Sharon

I have done IELTS 7 band and I am poor.

I can't afford bank statement on my own name, neither my father is rich to give me his own statement.

So what are ither statements acceptable by Canadian Embassy, to grant me a student visa to Canada?

Is national saving certificate acceptable?

Or like loan letter on which U.K. and U.S.A are giving visas?

Please reply
Sohail Khan

Loan for a Study Permit to Canada
by: Sharon - Expats Guide

Dear Sohail Khan

According to Canada Citizenship and Immigration, evidence that you can support yourself in Canada may include:

  • Proof of a Canadian bank account, if money has been transferred there.

  • Bank statements for the past four months.

  • proof of payment of tuition and residence fees, and

  • Proof of funding paid from within Canada for students with a scholarship or enrolled in a Canadian-funded educational program.

If you have a relative in Canada that is willing to sponsor you during your studies in Canada, that also might be acceptable by the Canadian Immigration

Best of Luck
Sharon

Try It
by: SCG India

There is a special program for applicants from India, called the Student Partnership Program.

Since you are from Pakistan, this is not available to you. You may still try the loan thing but should have a strongly worded covering letter laying stress on the Education levels achieved by you in Pakistan.

Canadians are known for allowing genuine cases. You have to demonstrate that you have all intentions to return to your native country. You must enclose the property documents, their translations (if required) and their valuation certified by a Govt approved valuer. You must also demonstrate to the Canadians your ability to afford the repayment of loan by showing regular income of your parents.
