Live in caregiver program in Canada and part- time MBA

by Thaysa
(Brasil )

Hello,

I want to apply for the Canada Live in caregiver program, I also want do a MBA (part-time)while I am there.

I am from Brazil and working as caregiver is a way that I found to study abroad without spending a lot of money since I am going to live with a family and get paid to take care of the kids.

I know that the main reason of the work visa is to work full time but there are many universities that offer part-time courses, it's just once a week.

Do you know anything about it. Do I need to apply for a student visa?

Thanks, Thaysa

Live in caregiver program in Canada and part- time MBA

Dear Thaysa

Thanks for your inquiry (Please note that I am not an immigration officer).

According to Canada Citizenship and immigration you can study in Canada while you are working as a live-in caregiver. However, if the course or program you want to take lasts more than six months, you will need to apply for a study permit.

More information can be found in here

Best of Luck
Sharon
