Legal and Notary Services for Canadians Abroad
by: Sharon - Expats Guide

Hi Chris

Thanks for your inquiry.

Canadian Embassies have the authority to perform a variety of legal and notary services to Canadians living abroad. One of the services they offer is serving documents and taking affidavits.

A fee is charged for each service provided. More information can be found in here.

You can sign an affidavits in front of a Canadian Consular Officer and make one of your relatives your daughter's legal guardian in Canada.

Call the Canadian Embassy in Seoul, Korea, to find out more information about this service, and check with the school in BC if they accept this type of affidavit.

Good Luck
Sharon
