Is there an easy way to get Police Clearance in Qatar?

Hi

I just want to ask if there is an easy way to get a police clearance from Qatar
I worked there from June 2006 to July 2007, and now my fiancée is applying for a USA K1 visa for me.

The US embassy approved my papers. I am only missing my police clearance from Qatar.

The US embassy gave me a list of instructions how to get the police clearance. I followed the instructions - fingerprints, a photocopy of my old passport that I used in Qatar, a photograph, and I sent all the papers via DHL to the Embassy of Qatar.

Now I am trying to know what happens with my papers but I am stuck. Almost one month has passed and I am still waiting and hoping for their response.

I am really scared that I will not go to America just because of my police clearance, and it’s unfair as I don’t have a bad record in Qatar. I just worked there.

Please help me how to get a police clearance from Qatar

Thanks for your inquiry (please note that I am not an immigration officer)

Usually the procedure with police clearance is as follows: The applicant fills out the application for police clearance and sends it with all other relevant documents to the Embassy.

In most cases the embassy does not have the authority to issue a police clearance. The embassy must send all documents to the home country, where the local police checks if there is a criminal record or not. Only after that the police can issue a clearance certificate which is then sent to the Embassy.

This is quite a long procedure and sometimes it takes 2-3 months to be completed.

In spite of the above I do recommend that you check with DHL if the courier with all your documents has arrived the Embassy of Qatar. You can also call the Embassy to find out if they have received your papers.

Hello Maria,

Well, i just want you to know that i have gone through the same thing. my fiance applied for a visa fiance K1 but the interviewer asked me for the police clearance cuz i lived there over 6 months.

They gave me some instructions how to get it the same as yours, and i sent them the documents. They told me it is supposed to take 2 weeks. After 2 weeks i was sooooo scared not to hear from them. I called the ministry of interior so many times...but they couldn't help me. All they could say was to wait.

After like a month and a half i heard from them telling me that my PCC is ready and they will mail it to me. It took like 2 weeks to get here.
Now i have it.

First of all I am Johnny and I worked in Qatar from 2007 up to 2009, 1 year and 6 months. My Job was finished so that?s why I am back in manila again,,,

I have a petition of my mother in USA. All my Docs Are complete, and the interview was finished last Sep. I got an interview with the consul at the US embassy and he asked me for a police clearance from Qatar? and I did not have it.

The consul told me that I passed the interview but I need to present a police clearance from Qatar. And she did not give a pink slip but told me to return to the embassy when I have the police clearance.

I asked the Embassy of Qatar how to get a police clearance and they gave me the requirements.

Here are the requirements for a police clearance certificate:

A Request letter addressed to the Ambassador H.E Abdulla Ahmed A1-Mutawaa stating your intention to claim a police clearance certificate and the date of entry and exit in Qatar. The letter should include your contact details (address, contact number and email add)

Photocopies of your old and new passport plus the stamps of your entry and exit date in Qatar

NBI Sundry Card authenticated by the DFA

Fee Of $9.00

5 pcs. Of 2x2 size picture

All documents should be sent through Express DHL

First you need to go to NBI for fingerprinting in Taft ave. and wait for a week.

After that you should go to DFA. Old BIDG. In roxas. There you wait 1 to 2 hrs to get it authenticated by DFA.

Photocopy all your info. And you wait 2 to 3 months before you get a police clearance in Qatar.

Now I am waiting for my police clearance at the end of nov.

who's gonna send docs to Qatar

Hello everyone, before i proceed to my main question i just want to inform every one that the Office of Qatar embassy is no longer in Dasmarinas. They transfer to Bonifacio. Here's the add for those who donnot know yet: 8 flr. Corporate Center Kalayaan avenue Bonifacio, tel. no. 8566666.

I already have all documents ready for getting a police clearance from Qatar. DFA authenticated Fingerprints, passport pics. etc. They said I need to send it through DHL together with the fee. I wanna know if its cash or check or money order. I wanna know also if they will be the one to send it to Qatar and just wait the clearance to arrive. I wonder if they have the same procedure with the UAE embassy in which you can send it to any of your friend who is there to fastract.

Hi my name is Leah.

I gone through the same. It's been 3 months since I sent the request but til now I did not get anything.

I had my interview today and my visa approval is on hold because of this.

Every time I call the embassy and the DHL, they say I need to wait.

I am 4 months pregnant and I need to be with my husband ASAP.

Does any one know the number of the ministry of interior in Qatar?

I wanna call and check from them. Ty

im going through the same problem but for me i'll just start to mail all my documents tomorrow.so does it mean i need to wait for 4 months? (sighs)

is there any other way?i mean the fastest way?

hi...i also called up the Qatar embassy in manila about it...and according to them, it will take about 4 months for me to receive the police certificate...
