Is a loan letter acceptable for student visa to canada?

by Mony
(Pakistan)

Hi Sharon

My name is Mony. I am from Pakistan.

I am applying for a Canadian student visa and I would like to ask if I can use a loan letter as a financial proof, and can I submit a bank statement of 2 months although the embassy requests 4 months mature bank statement.

Thanks, Mony

Dear Mony

Thanks for your inquiry (please note that I am not an immigration officer)

According to Canada Citizenship and Immigration - A copy of an Educational Loan from an acceptable Pakistani Bank should be O.K.

As regards to your bank statement - The requirement is Bank statements for the past four months. I guess that the Embassy wants to check that your bank account is active and working on a regular base.

Best of Luck
Sharon
