Immigrating to Canada
by: Sharon - Expats Guide

Hi Ali

Thanks for your inquiry (Please note that I am not an immigration officer).

AS a GNM you might be able to immigrate to Canada under the skilled Worker Program

For your application to be eligible for processing, you must:

  1. Include the results of your official language proficiency test AND

  2. Have a valid offer of arranged employment, OR

  3. Have one year of continuous full-time paid work experience in at least one of the occupations listed here.

If you meet the above minimum requirements, your application will be processed according to the six selection factors in the skilled worker points grid , which are:

  1. Your education

  2. Your abilities in English and/or French

  3. Your work experience

  4. Your age

  5. Whether you have arranged employment in Canada, and

  6. Your adaptability.

You must also show that you have enough money to support yourself and your dependants after you arrive in Canada.

For more information you can download My Immigration Consultant - a step by step software where you can check the Immigration Class you best fit in, what is required, how to evaluate yourself, where and how to apply and finally your preparation for a successful interview at the Canadian Embassy.

Good Luck
Sharon
