I want to join my husband who is in canada..

Hi Sharon

I am a working woman from Delhi, India and my husband is in canada on a 1 year work permit since Nov 2010.

His visa extension is still in process and in the meantime I want to join my husband in Canada even if its on a tourist visa

I really want to visit him. I will come back if I am granted a tourist visa.

Kindly let me know what are the chances of getting the visa and should I hide the fact that my husband is in Canada.

I would suggest that you won't hide any information regarding your status as
According to Canada Citizenship and immigration "If you submit false documents or information, your application will be refused. You will also face serious consequences. Depending on the situation, these may include:

No entry into Canada for at least two years

A permanent record of fraud in CIC's database.

Having your permanent resident status or Canadian citizenship revoked.

Being charged with a crime or

Removal from Canada"

As regards to the chances of getting a visitor visa - Each visa application is considered on its own merit and there is no formula or specific document that will guarantee approval of a visa application.

Canadian visa officers look at many factors in assessing a visa application like the purpose of the visit and the applicant's ties to his or her home country, including the family and economic situation."
