I am currently working in singapore and company wants me to take a new assignment in my home country(india).

How should the company decide my salary?

Seems like they are going to reduce my salary.

Thanks for your inquiry (please note that I am not a finance expert).

If your salary will be reduced or not depends on several factors like:

The policy of your company regarding employee's compensations, cost of living in the country where you are working and do they take into account your country of origin when calculating your salary?

Also, is there a difference in the salary between expats employees and local (Indian) employees? Is there a difference in the salary between expats working for your company in different countries?

Is your company calculating the salary according to the Quality of Living or according to Location Evaluation?

To receive accurate information it is best that you contact your company?s head office and find out the policy of your company.
