got student visa refusal for canada

by Saahiba
(ahmedabad)

Hi Sharon

I am Saahiba from India. I have done my B.E computer and have applied for business management diploma in Cambrian college for may 2011 intake.

My ielts score 6.0
Loan 9.0 lakhs
Father's 3 year IT return
Medical receipt
All notarized documents

I got rejection and they have mentioned reason for rejection:

You have not satisfied me that you will leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for your stay because:-

Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of your qualification, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, other educational opportunities available in India or Canada, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans.

I want to reapply for September intake

Please guide me that I can get Canadian study visa this time.

My questions:

1. Should I change my course and college?
2. Should I put SOP with my file?
3. What are the chances for me to get positive result next time?

Thanks, Saahiba

got student visa refusal for canada
by: Sharon - Expats Guide

Dear Saahiba
Thanks for your inquiry (please note that I am not an immigration officer).

According to Canada citizenship and immigration - If your circumstances have changed appreciably and you believe that it would result in a different decision, you may wish to reapply. The new application will normally be assessed by a different visa officer and all current information will be taken into consideration.

Please note that - where a new application is submitted after a refusal, applicants should provide documents related to the new information or the change in their circumstances since the refusal or, failing that, they should provide an explanation for the new application.

So changing the course of your studies and putting SOP in your file might be considered new information and might lead to a different decision this time.

However, according to Canada citizenship and immigration each application is considered on its own merit and there is no formula or specific document that will guarantee approval of you Canadian student visa application

We would love to hear back from you and to learn if your new application was approved.

Best of luck
Sharon
