Hi Sharon,

My wife is currently working in Alberta,Canada.

She has just been promoted to a manager position in a Mcdonald's Restaurant.

She has been there for 1 year and 9 months now.

Is there a way for me and our 4 year old son to follow her?

How and what is the fastest way that we can be together in Canada?

I already tried to apply for a working visa before, beacause my wife's employer was willing to employ me but the Canadian emassy here in Manila refused my application twice due to family ties.

I really hope there's a way.

Thanks for your inquiry (please note that I am not an immigration officer).

You did not indicate which Canadian visa your wife holds. Is it Alberta Semi-Skilled worker visa? Is it a temporary foreign worker visa?

Anyway, I would suggest that your wife read the temporary foreign worker guide to employees in Alberta and/or call the temporary foreign worker helpline in Edmonton at tel: 780-644-9955. They might be able to advice you how to proceed.
