Hi Sharon,

I'm an Englishman currently living in the Czech RepubliC with my 11 yr old daughter but planning on moving to Canada to be with my Canadian girlfriend after 3 yrs 'together'.

Are there any recommendations on how to go about this work wise, should I try to find work first (I am a business analyst for Tesco here) or should I turn up and try to find work when I am there and can meet people for interviews etc?

All new to me so any help much appreciated!! :-)

Thanks for your inquiry (please note that I am not an immigration officer).

Does Tesco have a Branch in Canada? Can you ask to be relocated there? It might be a comfortable solution for you.

As to your questions, you can find at the following link a guide to change conditions or extend your stay in Canada - Worker, and a guide to apply for a work permit from outside Canada.

After reading those guides you will be able to decide which option works better for you
