One of the great challenges one can encounter when relocating overseas is adjusting to the local everyday food, without gaining weight, or jeopardizing your health.
Maintaining a healthy food diet is hard even for someone who is not relocating abroad, so imagine how difficult it can be when living and working overseas.
Why is it so difficult?
There are several reasons:
Did you feel the same? Would you like to share with us recipes, tips and stories about adjusting to the local food in a new country?

Use a food diary to write down everything you eat and drink over the day. A food diary can help you become more aware of your eating and activities habits, and give you a basis from which to plan changes and set goals.
Use a food calorie counter to count your daily caloric intake, and to keep track of the number of calories you eat.
Eat negative calories foods that are known to increase metabolism, like - green tea, green vegetables, orange, onion, lemon, mango, etc'. Or you can also follow the 3 stages plan for healthy eating when relocating overseas as described by Yona Maor a dietitian:
One of the best ways to learn about the local food is sharing information with other expats. Expats who are familiar with the typical food of your destination country, and can recommend local products and recipes.
With your help we can build the ultimate international recipes guide full with useful information about everyday food in different countries; where you and other expats can share their knowledge about their destination country.
