My family is planning on moving to Canada.

One of the most important things to do when searching for information about the country you would be moving to is finding out the cost of living in that country.

Your life in Canada may be different than in your home country - The expenses on taxes, salary , household, food, utilities, transportation etc' won't be the same.

Therefore you should probably start by checking what are the standard expenses in Canada. This information can be found here.

Then, you can look into more specific and detailed information at Statistics Canada website:

You can find information about Household, family and personal income.

There is also statistics information about cost of living in Canada by provinces and territories.
