Canadian Student Visa Refused

by anvesh
(India)

Hello everyone,

I am a student from INDIA. I applied for a Canadian student visa in November. I paid college fee 6000$ and I got medicals but sadly my Canadian student visa application has been refused on the following grounds (according to the visa officer at the Canadian High commission):

1. You have submitted documentation which lacks credibility as part of your application. This has diminished the overall credibility of your submission.

2. I am not satisfied that you have answered truthfully all questions put to you.

First, I would like to tell you my details:

I completed my B.Tech in computer science and eng. My father is a farmer and we also have a fertilizer shop.

I applied for my pg diploma in network system technology.

The list of documents I submitted at the Canadian High Commission are:

1. My bank loan of 10 laks

2. My father's last six mouths of bank statement. In my father account not having minimum balance

Can anybody give me advice how can I prove all my documents are genuine. How can I explain them that I answered truthfully?

I plan to reapply for my student visa to Canada again.

This is why I am requesting you friends to give me a clear idea so that I can submit my documents clearly.

Anvesh

Canadian Student Visa Refused
by: Sharon - Expats Guide

Hi Anvesh

Thanks for your inquiry.

I am not an immigration officer However according to the Canadian Embassy in India:

"Written reasons for the refusal are given to unsuccessful Study Permit applicants. Once you are in possession of the written reasons, there are limited avenues for appeal. There is no formal appeal mechanism for refused Study Permit applications.

The Visa Section is not able to assist with the refund of school fees.

If your circumstances have changed appreciably and you believe that it would result in a different decision, you may wish to reapply. If, however, there is no change in your situation, then it is unlikely that your application would result in the issuance of a Study Permit."

I would strongly suggest that you consult a lawyer who specializes in visas and Immigration to Canada before you reapply.

A professional can advice you how to fill out the documents properly and which documents are missing or need more clarification.

Should any of our visitors have advice to Anvesh please submit it in here.

Good Luck
Sharon

Hi Avinash,

I am a person who shares same fate as yours. Even my visa got rejected after my medicals for the same reason...

I made a 2nd attempt but failed in that too.

I strongly recommend you not to reapply unless you know what was the exact document that has created the problem for you.

hi avinash ,
I think that the reason for your refusal may be the course u r opting.the course u were going to take should be relevant to the course u had completed in India.

second reason can be ur ielts score.u must score minimum 6 marks in every module......
