Thanks for your inquiry

First, I would like to emphasize that I am not an immigration officer.

If you are going to study in Canada for more than six months, you need a study permit. However, before you can apply for a student visa to Canada you must have been accepted as a student at a recognized school, university or college in Canada.

As regards to your question about your wife - According to the government of Canada, if you wish your spouse to accompany you to Canada or to join you at a later date, you must provide proof that you will be able to support her. You will likely be required to provide proof of additional funding and/ or savings. Other then that, your wife will also be required to prove to a visa officer that she has sufficient ties to India to ensure her departure from Canada.
